Hotel Dann Monasterio

This place is so worth the price. Very friendly staff, very comfortable beds, nice shower, great ground, pool, sauna and turco, great breakfast The only thing missing is a jacuzzi, but they said they're thinking of putting one in. We really enjoyed our time here secure parking, and very pet friendly.

It is a beautiful and well maintained historic building, located in the heart of Popayan, close to restaurants, shops, churches, and museums. The rooms are properly decorated, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast is good.

This is an impressive-looking hotel which was a former 16th century monastery. I booked a standard twin room with 2 double beds and we ended up staying in the presidential suite! The room was big with a big window door to a huge shared balcony. The bathroom had a bath tub and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is on two floors and there is no lift (it was an old monastery and they did not have lifts in those days). However the staff were quick to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. There is an on site restaurant in the inner court yard where we had cocktails and a light meal. The food was delicious and presented in a way befitting a five star hotel. There were fairy lights strung up and soft classical music playing, creating a very nice atmosphere. This hotel is good value for money and by far the best-looking in Popayan.

Probably the best hotel in Popayan. Beautifully restored former monastery furnished with period details, lovely garden and courtyard, spacious and comfortable room, wonderful buffet breakfast (included in the price), great location.

Breakfast was very good. We liked the great location in the historic building (ancient monastery) and in the midst of the old town of Popayán, where you can visit all touristic places by foot.
